A dead remote, a door that reverses for no reason, an opener that hums but doesn't move the door — 5 Star Garage Door Service diagnoses the actual fault instead of guessing.
5 Star Garage Door Service trains Elko, NV technicians on this exact service line so you're not the one teaching them on the job.
Every Elko, NV technician on this service line carries documentation you can ask to see, and we expect the question.
A technician trained across the full range won't misdiagnose your specific opener.
We check the logic board, drive gear, and sensors individually before recommending a full swap.
Federal safety standards require functioning auto-reverse sensors; we verify this on every job.
Retrofit smart modules are available when a full replacement isn't necessary.
The logic board controls nearly every function — we carry replacement boards for common Elko, NV opener brands.
Stripped drive gears cause the classic hum-but-no-movement symptom — worn belts and stretched chains get replaced and re-tensioned.
Lost remotes and unresponsive keypads get resolved on-site — we wipe old codes if a remote was lost or stolen.
Sensors bumped out of alignment get realigned and re-tested — {a blinking light almost always means alignment or a dirty lens|we test full auto-reverse function after every repair|this is a fast, inexpensive fix compared to a full unit swap}.
A motor that struggles to start often points to a failing capacitor — capacitor swaps cost a fraction of a full motor replacement.
Reach a live dispatcher at +1-866-597-3069 and describe what's going on with your door.
Most calls see a technician on-site within the hour, dispatch load permitting.
You approve the price before any work begins.
{Work is completed and tested through a full cycle before we call the job finished.|We verify safety function and smooth operation before asking for your sign-off.|Workmanship is backed by our guarantee, not just a handshake.}

No — we recommend replacement only when repair genuinely doesn't make sense anymore.
It can also indicate the door itself is jammed or unbalanced.
Limit switch settings that have drifted can also cause this.
If the hardware has actually failed, we'll explain why.
We quote a flat rate on-site after diagnosis.
Parts availability narrows for very old models, but we'll always check first.
We keep Elko coverage tight enough to hold same-day response standards for this service.
Coverage for this service matches our general Elko service area, with the same flat-rate pricing and guarantee.
